Mount Manasulu Expedition

Overview

Mount Manaslu is the highest peak of the Gurkha massif, and is the eighth highest mountain in the world. It is located about forty miles east of Mount Annapurna. The mountain’s long ridges and valley glaciers offer feasible approaches from all directions, and it culminates in a peak that towers steeply above its surrounding landscape is a dominant feature. First ascent of Mount Mansalu was made by T. Imanishi (Japan) and Gyalzen Norbu (Sherpa).

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 2: Free day in Kathmandu

Day 3: Preparation day in Kathmandu

Day 4: Drive to Arughat Bazar. (576 m)

Day 5: Trek to Khursanibari (970 m)

Day 6: Trek to Jagat. (1,350 m) or Salleri (1,353 m)

Day 7: Trek to Dyang. (1,860 m)

Day 8: Trek to Namrung (2,630 m)

Day 9: Trek to Sama Gaon. (3,520 m)

Day 10: Rest day at Sama Gaon

Day 11: Trek to Manaslu Base Camp (4,400 m)

Day 12-39: Climbing Period Mt. Manaslu.

Day 40: Clean up Base Camp

Day 41: Trek back to Sama Goan.

Day 42: Trek to Ghap (2,380 m)

Day 43: Trek to Machakhola (869 m)

Day 44: Trek to Arughat Bazar. (608 m)

Day 45: Drive to Kathmandu

Day 46: Rest day in Kathmandu.

Day 47: Departure.
